Minister of State for Information Technology and Telecommunication Shaza Fatima Khawaja says the steps taken by Pakistan regarding cyber security have been acknowledged at the global level. Addressing a news conference in Islamabad this afternoon, she said Pakistan has been enlisted among the top tier and emerged as the role model regarding cyber security. She said all the relevant departments have played a vital role attaining this level. Shaza Fatima said we have also maintained all the international standards regarding the cyber security. The Minister of State said the IT industry is rapidly growing in the country and its credit goes to the constant hard work of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and his entire team. She said promotion of Information Technology is also the topmost priority of the Special Investment Facilitation Council. Shaza Fatima said a pilot project will soon be launched to digitize all the institutions in the federal capital. She said it is for the first time that Google has made inv estment in Pakistan's IT sector, which is a big achievement. Source: Radio Pakistan
