The Texworld New York City has begun at Javits Center, New York Over 600 exhibitors from around the world are exhibiting their textile products at the exhibition. The Trade Development Authority of Pakistan is sponsoring the event. Seven companies from Pakistan are among the exhibitors. A large number of buyers visited the exhibition on its opening day. The Consul General of Pakistan in New York, Aamer Ahmed Atozai along with Adnan Awan, the Trade and Investment Counsellor, New York visited the booths of Pakistani companies. These companies reported meetings with quality buyers and shared that these meetings will potentially translate into considerable exports of textile products from Pakistan. Many buyers also visited the TDAP booth and expressed interest in sourcing opportunities from Pakistan. They also expressed interest in Texpo, another textile exhibition which will be held in Karachi in October this year. Source: Radio Pakistan
