A jirga was held between local tribal elders and FC Balochistan North in Hanna Orak area of Balochistan. It discussed the overall security situation of the area, various post-flood rehabilitation projects and development projects. The participants described the security situation in the area as satisfactory and appreciated the role of Pakistan Army and FC in maintaining peace. The tribal elders said that with the efforts of Pakistan Army, FC and civil administration, work on many development projects is going on in the area. These projects include the construction of Hana Orak and Wali Tangi Dam road and clean water supply as well as various health and education projects. They noted that their completion will bring ease in the life of the local people. Talking to the Jirga, the Inspector General Frontier Corps North said that apart from ensuring law and order situation, Pakistan Army and FC will continue their cooperation with the local people in every sphere of life. The participants of the jirga said that the local people are standing side by side with the security forces for maintenance of peace and order. Source: Radio Pakistan
