Pakistan, on behalf of Organization of Islamic Cooperation, has paid tributes to the leadership of late Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi. The tributes were presented by the Permanent Representative of Pakistan to the United Nations Ambassador Munir Akram in the United Nations General Assembly in New York. He lauded Ebrahim Raisi's contribution to OIC's central cause of restoring Palestinian's rights and protecting the sanctity of holy mosque of Al-Quds Al-Sharif. The UN General Assembly met as part of the tradition to pay tribute to any world leader who was a sitting head of state at the time of death. Source: Radio Pakistan
